Biographical Information

      

Jessica Cannon was born and raised in Bowling Green, VA, where she currently resides. Jessica has grown up with an intuition, love and creativity for art from a young age. Jessica has been fortunate to have had a creative background instilled in her as a young child. Jessica built up the motivation and insight to pursue her love and support of the arts from family and friends. Jessica has a passion for art that she captivates in each mixed media piece created. Jessica graduated from Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, Virginia, in May 2006 with a double major Bachelor`s Degree in Business Administration (concentration Marketing/Management) and Art (concentration Studio Painting). Jessica graduated with her Masters of Education in June 2013. Jessica continues to pursue her passion for the arts throughout various exhibits to represent her place among today`s society. Jessica`s accomplishments in the Area of the Arts includes displaying at the Sage Moon Gallery, Charlottesville, Virginia; displaying at the Fredericksburg Art Festival at Riverfront City Dock, Fredericksburg, Virginia; displaying at the Fredericksburg Fine Arts Exhibit, Fredericksburg, Virginia; displaying at Arts in the Park at Byrd Park, Richmond, Virginia; displaying at the Heritage River Art Guild Annual Art Show, Colonial Beach, Virginia; the King George County Artist Guild Biannual Art Show, King George, Virginia; the John Tyler Community College art show, "Fool for Art", located in Midlothian, Virginia; the Lazy Daze Arts & Craft Festival in Cary, North Carolina, the Virginia Fall Foliage Festival, Waynesboro, VA, Art on the Avenue, Alexandria, VA, and completed a solo art exhibition at the Shenandoah Valley Arts Center in Waynesboro, Virginia. Jessica is proud to be a member of Art First Gallery, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

a is prese                                      rsuing her Masters of Education at Strayer University. accomplishments in the Area of the Arts includes displaying at the Sage Moon Gallery on the Downtown Mall, Charlottesville, Virginia in their emerging new artist shows; displaying at the annual Spring Fredericksburg Arts and Crafts Festival at Hurkamp Park, Fredericksburg, Virginia the last several years; displaying at the annual Fredericksburg Fine Arts Exhibit held at the Fredericksburg Community Center, Fredericksburg, Virginia; displaying at the annual Spring Arts in the Park at Byrd Park, Richmond, Virginia; displaying at the annual Heritage River Art Guild Annual Art Show, Colonial Beach, Virginia in which she received honorable mention; displayed at the Through the Garden Gate Antique Mall, Mechanicsville, Virginia, the King George County Artist Guild Biannual Art Show at King George High School, King George, Virginia; and most recently a participant at the John Tyler Community College art show located in Midlothian, Virginia. Jessica completed a solo art exhibition at the Shenandoah Valley Art Center in Waynesboro, Virginia. She is continually dedicated to producing original, well-crafted artwork to bestow her personal touch among today‚Äôs art society.
